Meet our Founder
Hi! I am Terrie – founder and designer of Saltie Rose.
After losing my husband to cancer, I faced a lonely winter in Minnesota. I found solace and joy in the vibrant pickleball community. Playing with others brought warmth to those cold days and introduced me to amazing friends. Soon, I was hooked and playing several times a week, feeling truly happy and fully present on the courts.
But as I got more involved, I realized there was a gap in the market for pickleball attire. I've sewed since I was six years old. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and started designing. Launching a clothing brand in my sixties was bold, showing that dreams have no expiration date.
Saltie Rose was born. "Saltie" symbolizes my pickleball journey from sadness to sweat, while "Rose" honors my late husband. It's more than clothing; it's a tribute to the spirited women who redefine age and athleticism. Together, we champion a movement of passion and community, celebrating each unique journey while uniting in our love for pickleball.

At Saltie Rose, we thought a lot about doing things the right way. For us, this means being fair, transparent, and respectful in everything we do. In our women-led business, these values aren't just something we say; they guide us daily.

That's why we use environmentally friendly materials and try to create as little waste as possible when making our clothes. Everything we make in this first Collection is proudly done here in the United States, reflecting our commitment to quality and fairness.
What makes us stand out is how we make our clothes. We work closely with our partners in California, making sure they're doing good work in a good environment. They use advanced technology to ensure we use materials efficiently and minimize fabric waste.
The materials we use are top-notch, too. Most of them are made from recycled polyester from a family-owned company right here in the U.S. They've been doing this for a long time, and they make sure our fabrics meet the highest standards.
